my Books

All my books share a common purpose: to bridge the false divide between inner and outer nature, so that we can honor our kinship with the earth and lay claim to the wild wisdom at the core of our being. I believe deeply in the power of imagination and authentic creativity to shift our consciousness, reshape our stories, and help us envision a future that holds us all.

My first book

Embrace your inner wild

A visual and verbal hymn to the beauty and importance of the natural world, this book features photographs by Don Moseman and eco-reflections by me. I’ve always thought of this as a beautiful book to pick up and dip into when you’re seeking nature inspiration.

Coming April 2024

The way of the wild soul woman

My latest book is an eco-heroine’s journey through Earth’s archetypal landscapes as vital aspects of the wild feminine. It shows how to heal and reclaim the creativity and power patriarchy has suppressed in us. We emerge, untamed, unashamed, and unstoppable.

My Second Book

Reclaiming the wild soul

What would it be like to move from the small egocentric self, separate from the Earth and other beings, to the wilder and more encompassing ecocentric self, an integral part of an ensouled planet? This book shows the way.

THE INSPIRATION

My passion for Language and landscape is the current that runs through all my work. My words Aim to weave us back into full, embodied connection with the other- than-human world

Kind words from readers

  • My journeys are more than just hikes; they are spiritually driven quests to better understand my role and place in the world. I always take 3 books with me on my trips and the most important one by far is Reclaiming the Wild Soul. Mary’s words are beautiful and holy. Please read this book; it will change your life.

  • I cannot emphasise enough the depth and value of this work. I have explored worlds within myself, hitherto undiscovered, found rich landscapes of expression, depths of the extraordinary inter-relational interplay with our Souls and Nature. This work is both healing and deeply meaningful in these times where we can lose the connection to Nature and ourselves and what really matters to us in this precious life.

  • There are very few books in my library I have read totally from cover to cover, and those I have are my treasures that bring so much joy and insightfulness to my life. They are the books I will forsake daily life to sit cosily and shut the world out. Yours joins that small elite shelf of wonder and poetic meaning in my life. Thank you for your beautiful words which speak to this wild woman. It sure is a book for women today!! Report
